I have been a resident of Calgary since 1981 and enjoy working and living here very much. I have been married to my lovely wife Susan since 1969 and together we have three now adult children and four grand children.
After fifteen years working as a journeyman tradesman on many residential and commercial buildings, in 1982 I started from scratch a very successful mechanical contracting company (West Nova Mechanical) and after ten years I decided to close it down. Just tired of chasing contractors for money.
We bought a then closed restaurant, renamed it (A Touch of Country Restaurant) and operated both for one year. I again found myself in a very high output business. The restaurant was very successful and after five years we sold it and I pursued a new career in Real Estate.
During my first year in Real Estate, we purchased a then closed coffee shop and completly renovated an old bakery location into a new laundromat in Cochrane AB. We named them Friends Coffee Shoppe and Prairie Winds Laundromat. A side by side concept that complimented each other very well.
We sold both businesses and I decided to pursue a career in residential and commercial real estate. I have taken many of the available residential and commercial courses through the Calgary Real Estate Board and have been a full member of both divisions for many years, even helping design some commercial and business forms for the real estate board.
After full control managing of a major franchise with around seventy five realtors and full time staff in Calgary from September 1999 to September 2002, I decided to start a new real estate company and called it First Place Realty.
I am currently the Broker and Owner of this growing, progressive real estate brokerage and realtors are joining from all quadrants of the city, enjoying the awsome benefits of this company.
I love the real estate business and the satisfaction of a successful transaction completing for a satisfied and happy buyer, seller, landlord or tenant.
Please feel free to contact me for your real estate needs. I love to help.
